Beam line magnet systems

Beam line magnet systems

This consists of a range of cryo-magnetic systems for neutron scattering and other beamline applications.

They share the following features

  • High magnetic field
  • Parallel and transverse field access
  • Low or ultra low sample temperatures
  • Low cryogen consumption at all times
  • No liquid helium in the beamline
  • Straightforward integration with the beamline infrastructure.

Options

There are split pairs with a variety of access dimensions and central fields up to 15 tesla or with vector rotation capability.  Variable sample temperatures are provided with a variable temperature insert (to 1.8K) or a Heliox (to 300mK) or Kelvinox (to 7mK).  These can be interchanged if required.

Automation

LabVIEW virtual instruments are available for all Oxford Instruments NanoScience electronics to allow automation of temperature and field.  These can be integrated into a complete data acquisition system.
