The open sample stand design uses a unique Jet Stream which encapsulates the electrode in an annular flow of argon. This allows the analysis of unusually shaped samples, such as wires without the need for special adapters, because the sample does not have to seal the sample stand opening. Also, argon consumption is much lower than with conventional spectrometers.
The FOUNDRY-MASTER's vacuum system is simple, reliable, and has no expensive consumable parts such as filter cartridges and does not have the gas cost of gas flushed spectrometers.
The advanced system software automatically performs many of the tasks associated with conventional spectrometers, such as optical alignment, thereby allowing almost anyone to produce accurate analyses with minimal training.
